4° año A y B conocen a Arthur Conan Doyle

 En la clase de hoy, 4° año A y B junto a las profesoras Luciana y Johanna, trabajaron la vida del escritor Arthur Conan Doyle previo a la lectura de la historia The Blue Diamond. Ésto es parte del proyecto interCECIEs "Ampliando el horizonte cultural en la lengua extranjera" que fomenta la lectura, la comprensión, el análisis y la producción de textos. Las docentes realizaron atractivas actividades lúdicas para chequear la comprensión de lo aprendido sobre el creador del famoso detective Sherlock Holmes y los estudiantes de 4° año participaron con gran entusiasmo! Felicitaciones profes & Kids! 

Proyecto: Día del Animal

 Con el día del animal como disparador, 1° año A y C junto a la profesora Karina, realizaron esta Campaña de difusión de los perritos de @gapra.refugio, un Refugio de nuestro barrio que salva a los animalitos que llegan a veces luchando por sus vidas y le buscan un hogar. Bravo Profesora Karina & Kids por utilizar el idioma inglés con un hermoso propósito: recordarnos que es mejor adoptar que comprar y mostrarnos a los Granitos que buscan una familia para siempre!

Y si no podés adoptar, @gapra.refugio, te cuentan que hay muchas maneras de colaborar con ellos, por ejemplo paseando a los perritos los fines de semana.❤️🐕

2° año trabaja con adivinanzas

 

La profesora Noelia propuso a 2° año A y B que crearan adivinanzas utlizando los contenidos aprendidos. Bravo profesora Noelia & Kids!

Proyecto We're Swifties!

 3° año a cargo de la profesora María se encuentra trabajando un proyecto integral We're Swifties sobre ropa, tiempos presentes en contraste y reflexionando sobre si la ropa nos define. Bravo a la profesora y estudiantes!

Proyecto This is me!

 

La Profesora Alicia propuso a sus estudiantes de 5° A y C que contaran sobre sí mismos a través de objetos que los representen. Felicitaciones a la profesora Alicia & Kids por la creatividad en sus producciones!

Hasta el Maipo no paramos!

 🎭 Este año el CECIE 21 va al teatro!!! El Maipo nos espera con SHREK para que nuestros estudiantes tengan la experiencia de disfrutar del idioma inglés en un contexto diferente al aula. Nuestras profesoras propondrán actividades para realizar un trabajo previo y posterior al show musical. Estamos felices y orgullosos de seguir gestionando diferentes experiencias para ofrecer a nuestros estudiantes! Gracias familias por acompañarnos en cada propuesta! 🎭

1° A - Proyecto Día del Animal 🐶

Con motivo del Día de Animal, el CECIE 21 articula con la organización barrial, @gapra.refugio para celebrar su labor y difundir la adopción responsable de perritos. 1° A junto a la profesora Karina organizan la campaña "Adopt, Don't Shop" para ayudar a muchos 🐶 a encontrar un hogar para siempre y enriquecer los aprendizajes de los estudiantes. En breve compartiremos los pósters de 1° A! 🐶🐶

Los estudiantes de 7° año vuelven a ser Turistas por un día!

 📸 7° año - Turistas por un día! Este año, el CECIE 21 lleva nuevamente a nuestros Egresados a recorrer uno de los barrios de nuestra Ciudad de Buenos Aires junto al vecino @cecie_25! Con las guías de @buenosaireseningles aprenderemos de la riqueza cultural del B° de La Boca utilizando el idioma inglés en un contexto real! La Profesora Johanna propondrá a 7° año, actividades previas y posteriores a la visita que socializaremos por este medio. 📸

World Bullying Day

World Bullying Day is an international day marked on May 2nd to raise awareness of bullying and cyberbullying. It’s a widespread issue that affects millions of students around the world in schools and universities with consequences.

What to do if someone is bullying you:

· Tell someone you trust about it. If it is easier for you, write that person a note instead!! (People you might want to tell are: parents, teachers, the principal, playground safeties, or older friends).

· If the person you told cannot help you or does not do anything, find someone else! Never keep being bullied a secret!

· Try not to let the bully see you are upset. (Bullies are looking for signs that you are upset and they may do it more).

· Avoid areas where the bully feels comfortable picking on you (for example, places where teachers cannot see you - such as corners of the playground, lonely corridors, and behind large furniture in the classroom.

· Try to surround yourself with friends and people who will stand up for you.

What to do if you see someone who is being bullied:

· Get friends together and TALK to the bully. Let the bullies in your school know that bullying is not accepted at your school.

· Don't cheer the bully on or stand around to watch. (The bully might like the attention, and pick on the kid even more).

· If you see someone being bullied, find someone to help stop it. (Get another friend, a teacher, a playground safety, a principal).

· Be nice to, include, and get to know the people who are being bullied: You may find they are similar to you!!

· Try to make friends with the bully too- show them other ways to interact with others. (They don't need to bully others to be accepted or cool).

If you're a bully it’s never too late to change bullying behavior. Here’s where to start:

- Stop any behavior that causes someone harm.

- Understand that your actions are hurting someone.

- Know that it is NEVER okay to hurt someone.

- Realize that everyone deserves respect and that differences are a positive part of our world.

- Talk with someone, like your parent or a trusted adult, and ask for their help.

- Think through ways to respond positively to others.

 

International Workers' Day

Workers’ Day is a holiday that honors all workers. It is celebrated on the first of May in many countries. On this day, workers of all kinds have the day off. Those who fought for workers’ rights are remembered. Workers’ Day is sometimes known as May Day. In the United States and Canada, a similar holiday, known as Labor Day, occurs on the first Monday of September.

On May 1, 1886, factory workers in Chicago and elsewhere held a general strike to demand shorter working hours. Three days later they held another rally to protest the way police had treated some striking workers. The second rally turned violent after police tried to get the protesters to leave. A bomb exploded and a number of people were killed. The violent protest, known as the Haymarket Riot, became a symbol of the international struggle for workers’ rights.

In 1889 a number of trade unions and other groups chose the first of May as a day for the support of workers. That date was chosen to remember the initial strike for shorter hours.

Workers’ Day was held for the first time in the United States, Chile, Peru, Cuba, and most of the European countries on May 1, 1890. Marches were held to demand equal rights, higher wages, and better working conditions. The day became a holiday in Russia, Brazil, and Ireland in 1891. China began to celebrate Workers’ Day in 1920, and India first celebrated the day in 1927. The United States and Canada changed their workers’ holiday to Labor Day in 1894.

Let us take a moment on this Labour Day to honor the hardworking men and women who have built our world and continue to drive our progress forward.
